A story of love, self sacrifice and jealousy played out against a black and white world that is both nightmarish and hauntingly beautiful.

LOST AND FOUND – 24 min
Directed by Philip Hunt
A beautiful story about friendship based on the award winning children’s book by Oliver Jeffers. Featuring narration by Jim Broadbent and a music score by composer Max Richter.

London-based STUDIO AKA is a BAFTA-winning animation production company known internationally for its idiosyncratic and innovative work.

Along with an impressively eclectic range of TV commercials created for clients such as Lloyds Bank, Guinness, BUPA and The National Lottery, Studio AKA has also produced a range of short films – including the BAFTA & Cartoon D’Or-winning ‘Jo Jo in the Stars’ by Director Marc Craste, and the recent hit series of short films entitled ‘LOVESPORT’ by Director Grant Orchard.

In 2008 Studio AKA completed two half-hour films: ‘VARMINTS’, directed by Marc Craste, is based on the book by celebrated children's author Helen Ward. It was shortlisted for an Oscar and nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year, and has won nine awards at other international film festivals.

The second, ‘LOST AND FOUND’, directed by Philip Hunt, is an adaptation of the award-winning children’s book of the same name by Oliver Jeffers. This has only been in the festival circuit for a few months but has already won three major awards: The Annecy Crystal for Best TV Special, The Audience Award at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, and Best Kids Film and the Audience award at the Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia.
